Happy Easter!!

Easter 2011 was such an enjoyable day for the Wilson family....despite the rain.  The day started with my wonderful husband making breakfast for the entire family.  Next were Easter baskets for the kids.  They had great time digging into their baskets and Josh and I just enjoyed watching their little faces light up.   Then we got all dressed up for church, the kids in coordinating outfits.  I found an old dress of mine that matched the kids.  I also found a tie that matched us, but not over the top, for Josh to wear as well.  I wish someone had been at the house to take our picture!!

We had a great service at church about the crucifixion of Christ and the actual excruitiating pain that He physically had to endure. The massive loss of blood, broken bones, pierced side, difficulty breathing while hanging on the cross...and all for a bunch of unworthy sinners. We take communion every Sunday. However after a lesson that was so focused His death, I was able to better understand the sacrifice of His life that He gave for each and every one of us. Praise Him!!!

After church, we came home and ate lunch and had an Easter Egg Hunt. Although we had to hide the eggs inside and it was just our family, we had a blast.  I hope this Easter is a prelude of future Easter traditions.

BOOTS!!!  Micah loves them.  He even slept with them during nap time on Sunday.  When he woke up, he had put them on his feet.  Too cute!!!

Abby's reaction after she opened up "Tangled"!!!

Just look at their faces!!!

Abby loves to pose.

Random picture, but my banana pudding was so pretty, I just had to take a picture.

Aloha!!!

Oh the wonders of God's creation!!!  Everywhere you look, it is impossible to deny the intelligent design of everything around us.  God's hand is in all the beauty we witness, but I recently looked upon some of His work that is beyond anything I could ever imagine.  Through my husband's deligent work at KFB and the blessings bestowed upon our family by the Lord above, Josh was able to win a Round Table trip to HAWAII!!!  Over spring break, Josh and I boarded a plane a flew (much longer than I realized) to Maui (the second largest island in Hawaii).  Words cannot describe the beauty that is on the Hawaiian Islands.  The fragrant smell of the flowers as you walk around, the gentle ocean breeze with a hint of salt in the air, the majestic whales breeching the surface of the water while eating breakfast....all of it is more than I imagined.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the other trips our family has taken with KFB, but this trip was so relaxing and enjoyable.  I loved that we had NO agenda, no time restraints, and the days could just pass while sitting and listening to waves breaking on the shore.  It was fabulous!!!

Although the trip was very laid back, Josh and I did have a couple of adventures.  One day we drove on the Road to Hana.  A 1 1/2 lane road, 52 miles, 617 curves, 56 one-lane bridges, numerous waterfalls, and LOTS of hiking....all in all, a 12 HOUR day to make this trip, but it was great.  We went with Brad and Holly Norsworthy and had a wonderful time with them.  (Brad is an agent in Breckinridge County.)

We also went on a whale watch.  We had the opportunity to see about six whales, including a mother and her curious calf that repeatedly wanted to show off for us by jumping out of the water.  I really enjoyed VIEWING the whales...I did not enjoy the boat ride in the ocean.  I am not one to suffer from motion sickness, but this journey almost made me a victim.  I was glad to be back on solid ground!!!

Being able to spend time with agents and their spouses from Kentucky was such a treat!  Last year when we went to Austria, we were the only couple from Kentucky due to scheduling conflicts.  This year, we spent a great amount of time fellowshipping with our Kentucky friends.  However, we were also able to spend a few days with David and Angela Rea from North Carolina (the couple we met in Austria).  We had such a blast catching up with David and Angela.

We missed the kids terribly (although they had a great time at Nana and Papaw's) and I was definitely glad to be back home but look forward to future trips to Maui, Lord willing!!!

Enjoy some pics from our trip!

On the Road to Hana...stop #1.

I love this picture...the ocean, the mountains, and the beautfiul rays of sunlight.  It is like the light of Jesus shining down from Heaven!!

A rock bridge made from lava rock.

Josh was all about climbing some trees.  The tree above is actually only ONE tree, but the limbs will come down from the tree and start a new root system.

If you look close, there are actually two whales.

The baby whale showing off for the tourists.

All the flowers had colors this vivid.

Night of the gala...great shot of the ocean, not so much of me and Josh.
